Leading washroom manufacturer, Washroom Washroom has recently installed Perspex® Frost acrylic at a stunning refurbishment project for Fitness First.
Specialists in bespoke design and manufacturing, their impressive Luminoso range installed at the refurbished South Kensington branch of Fitness First was manufactured in vibrant blue Perspex® Frost for the first time.
Overseen by Admiral Construction as main contractor with Antarchitecture leading the design, Washroom was tasked with refurbishing the shower and changing room facilities.
Washroom’s Luminoso cubicle range, with its 12mm Perspex® S2 7T77 cast acrylic construction, was an ideal choice for the project specification. Providing a uniform frosted appearance on both sides, the cubicles provide peace of mind for users over glass.
The range, which also features stainless steel tubular headrail and pedestal legs, can be specified in any Perspex® acrylic colour allowing architects to create a wholly unique space without compromising on design. Our gallery also features another Luminoso installation in Glacier Green S2 6T21.
With hundreds of Fitness First members passing through the South Kensington branch’s doors each month, any new facilities installed in the centre need to be able to withstand high levels of traffic and remain in pristine condition. The company required a high quality specification yet practical design, which is where Washroom’s expert use of Perspex® came to the fore.
Following the success of this first installation, it is expected to be rolled out to half the UK branches over the next two years as part of a large scale refurbishment programme.
