Long established engraving business Culzean Engraving have launched a new personalised gifts and home decoration company, Culzean Gifts, producing a range of unique wide format printed gifts including Perspex® acrylic deer heads and bird boxes.
The products are the brainchild of 3rd generation business owner Stuart Cooper who, following a move to larger premises in Chorley in 2018, has invested in new machinery and staff to diversify the business. Hardware including large format UV printers, laser cutters and packaging machinery have widened their portfolio and opened up fresh opportunities using substrates such as Perspex® acrylic and wood.
These new machines have enabled Stuart to also follow his ambitions of creating new and exciting products including funky flat pack decorative bird boxes and deer heads. The flat pack Perspex® acrylic gifts are suitable for outdoor use and have proved great fun for all ages to build.
The wide format print enables vibrant and unique patterns that are then easily assembled at home.
Stuart’s father Ron was a 2nd generation master engraver with multiple textile and print businesses to his name. In 1960, working out of Dearden Street in the Yorkshire town of Osset, Ronald moved 13 families to Scotland and created Europe’s largest whiskey label company producing foil labels for Glenfiddich, Johnnie Walker and Ballantine’s to name a few. The first Chivas Regal embossing die was hand engraved by Ron cooper and still used to this day.
Maintaining the Cooper family heritage, Stuart produces engraved plaques and signs for Royalty and his prestigious clients including Rolls Royce, Harrods and British Aerospace.
