Manchester based Perspex® fabricators Plastic Formers have been commissioned by the Chartered Institution of Civil Engineering Surveyors (ICES) to produce a display cabinet to showcase its Royal Charter documentation.
Plastic Formers are approved Perspex® fabricators and their expert team have used museum grade Perspex® VA to meet the requirements of the project. Supplied by Perspex Distribution, Perspex® VA is a clear cast acrylic sheet with integral UV protection to protect the highly sensitive exhibit whilst optimising the ability for customers to view the document.
The Royal Charter document will be showcased in the ICES Manchester Headquarters and displayed for members and visitors to view.
The display cabinet also uses black and brown Perspex® acrylic to produce a formal plinth for the document. “We were delighted to be commissioned by the Chartered Institution of Civil Engineering Surveyors” explained Dennis Briggs from Plastic Formers. “It is exciting for us to help the Chartered Institution showcase such an important document.
We have used a museum grade of Perspex® acrylic to ensure the manuscript is protected for years to come whilst ensuring our fabrication of the cabinet provides a clear view for all visitors.“
Bill Pryke, CEO, and all the staff at Chartered ICES are very pleased with the quality and aesthetics of finished display case.
