With the welcome return of events, Inplas Fabrications were commissioned to add a little more glamour to the red carpet at the recent GQ Men of the Year awards.
Headline sponsor, Hugo Boss, wanted to showcase their products with a display of over 500 aftershave bottles announcing their association with the event.
A huge clear Perspex® acrylic display was created by Inplas measuring 4 metres wide and 3 metres high. 10mm thick acrylic created a sturdy display whilst the polished edges and perfect UV bonded corners gave the crystal clear structure a delicate feel.
The display case, manufactured to a depth of 140mm, held each of the bottles in their own case. With an LED display screen behind the structure, the clear display created additional depth to the graphics and created a real talking point for the celebrity guests.
Due to the sheer size and weight of the complete structure, the acrylic experts at Inplas fabricated the design in four equal sections that could be easily transported and positioned before discreet fixings brought them together.
The star studded ceremony took place on 3rd September at London’s Tate Modern with winners including Ed Sheeran and Anthony Hopkins.
