London based approved fabricators Denny Plastics were commissioned to create scaled Perspex® acrylic architectural models for an exhibition at the Royal Academy of Arts, on behalf of world leading Architects Wilkinson Eyre.
The model represented a ½ scale beam designed by Wilkinson Eyre, recreating part of their design within the award winning Stratford Station building project. The rebuilt East London station helped create a striking identity for the new Jubilee Line Extension in the late 1990’s and was later used as the gateway to the London Olympic park.
Perspex® clear acrylic in 5mm, 15mm and 20mm was used to create an optically clear view of the engineered beam, with Denny Plastics’ accurate CNC cutting, polishing and UV bonding creating crisp joints which reveal the design within.
