Innovative fabricators Floreeda have taken the view that this year the show must go on, and have celebrated their 30th birthday by building a huge retail concept stand in their Manchester workshop. Originally planned to be unveiled at London’s VM & Display Show, which was cancelled due to Covid-19, they opted to build the stand within their large workshop as the modular stand was all but completed for the show. The concept could act as inspiration for their customer base of retailers and specifiers to enjoy over lockdown even when they couldn’t see it in person.
20|30 Vision marks 2020 being the 30th year of the business.
Floreeda’s futuristic pop-up shop design has been gradually unveiled on Floreeda’s social media channels. A bold shop window concept involving an illuminated floating vinyl turntable started the reveal. Looking inside, there is something for all retail sectors with a beauty lab, footwear wall, apparel wall and accessories section.
Speaking to Floreeda MD, Paul Jones “We were due to exhibit at the VM & Display Show and celebrate our 30th Birthday by doubling the size of our stand and had this amazing concept ready to go.
As lockdown set in, we thought, why not build the stand anyway and document the progress online to help keep innovation going through these difficult times. Luckily, we moved into new premises last year and have an Innovation Zone where we display previous concepts for visiting customers.
Floreeda’s mantra is ‘Create, Innovate, Fabricate’ and that is exactly what we are showcasing with our 20|30 Vision. We thrive on playing with light, we even have a crazy idea of edge illuminated clothing that you put on to get your photo taken in the shop window.”
Engaging dramatic crisp LED illumination alongside bold use of minimalist and classic coloured Perspex® acrylic, the pop up store shows a striking glimpse of future design trends.
